Training Level Descriptions
Each training level builds upon skills learned in preceding levels.

Command Level
Eligible candidates are trained for decision making and leadership skills.
Command level trained Trephi comprise 1% of the SDF. |

Emissarial Level
Trainees learn negotiating tactics, diplomatic protocols, and first contact procedures. Tactical skills are built upon as well as alien-language skills and cultural knowledge of known species.
Emissarial level trained Trephi comprise 5% of the SDF. |

Tactical Level
Trainees learn personal combat skills, combat tactics, strategy, and qualify in weapons systems. Piloting skills are enhanced to cover air and space combat situations.
Combat level trained Trephi comprise 14% of the SDF. |

Aerospace Level
Trainees learn four-space navigational and flight skills necessary to qualify in all unarmed aerospace vehicles.
Aerospace level trained Trephi comprise 30% of the SDF. |

Support Level
Trainees learn maintenance and implementation of new and existing systems, equipment and vehicles.
Systems level trained Trephi comprise 30% of the SDF. |

Basic Level
Similar to basic training. Trainees learn basic skills and procedures.
Basic level trained Trephi comprise 20% of the SDF. |
Advancement by Personal Achievement
The lowest rank out of a first cycle training pack would be R-R-(social).
Achievement is not an absolute range of 6 levels.
Achievement also based on training level.
If the student develops skills, achievement rises.
For example, if a student reaches R-V-(social) and increase again, they are placed into then next higher training pack as O-R-(social) if they have a desire to advance to the next level.
Social Status
Social, or family, status has very little impact on rank and is used more for ceremonial purposes.
Technically, it could be used to settle a dispute by two Trephi with the same training and achievement level. However, a Trephyn that would use their family status to pull rank would loose the respect of their peers. Seeking an arbitrator of higher rank would be more appropriate.
Social status for females rarely changes. A male's social status can change if he is chosen by a female as a life-mate. The male inherits the female's status level, either up or down. Offspring inherit the mother's
